All new strip processing equipment supplied by Georg UK conform to the latest machinery safety standards, including the update to EN15061:2022 ‘Safety of Machinery – Safety Requirements for Strip Processing Line Machinery and Equipment’. Whilst it is a European Standard, it is also adopted and used in the UK.

Our in-house Certified Machine Safety Engineer (CMSE), Daniel Boggild, highlights that the core updates to this standard relate to speed differences and how remote access should be controlled.

The European Standard defines the health and safety requirements of strip processing lines. It covers significant hazards, hazardous situations and events when machinery is used as intended, and also foreseeable faults and malfunctions from misuse.
