10 Year High for Engineering Firm

Heinrich Georg (UK) Ltd is celebrating an unprecedented increase in turnover last year despite the ongoing impact Brexit has had on UK engineering projects.

The Midlands based engineering company is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of special purpose machines and test rigs and is a subsidiary of the global engineering firm, Heinrich Georg GmbH.

2022 also saw a significant increase in enquiries across all their technical areas, resulting in a number of major design and build projects undertaken at their Wolverhampton site.

Neil Wyke, Managing Director of Georg UK, said: “In 2022 we started to see businesses re-engage their plans for large-scale engineering projects which were delayed during the pandemic and with uncertainty around Brexit.”

“Our team’s engineering skills and experience means we’re becoming the market leader for the design and build of dynamometer test rigs for electric motors. We continue to welcome high levels of enquiries and already have a very healthy order book for 2023.”

The company has invested in a new training room for customer’s engineers; upgraded on-site workshop facilities; improved their environmental management performance with LED lighting, timers for air conditioning units, reduced paper usage and purchased an all-electric van to complement their fleet of electric cars.
