Two electric vehicle charging units are being installed at Heinrich Georg’s headquarters in Wolverhampton after they introduced a fleet of electric cars.
As part of the company’s environmental commitment to reduce our carbon footprint, two plug-in and two self-charging hybrid cars are being used by staff visiting our customers across the UK. The new electric cars not only reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, but also deliver financial savings in terms of fuel and maintenance costs.
Neil Wyke, managing director at Georg UK, said: “The new electric cars have been well received by staff, but we needed a way to conveniently charge our own electric vehicles on-site so we didn’t have to rely on the UK’s public electric vehicle charging network which is still in its infancy.
The new charging points are wall-mounted with a minimum of 7kW and the supply will not diminish when multiple vehicles charge simultaneously.
If you’re a customer of Georg UK and have an electric car, why not try out the new charging points next time you’re on site.
