Georg UK is pleased to have won a contract from NSF to design, manufacture, and commission a suite of special-purpose, qualification Test Rigs at NSF’s water testing laboratory in Wales. The state-of-the-art semi-automated analytical equipment is engineered to be both efficient and minimise water usage during testing, which will significantly reduce the laboratory’s water consumption.

For over 80 years, NSF has been a global leader in its commitment to protecting human and planet health. It is a globally recognised independent organisation for developing public health standards, conducting independent testing, auditing, and certification, supported by its accredited laboratories.

NSF engages in the rigorous testing, auditing and certification of an array of products and services. The NSF Certification Mark serves as an emblem of assurance, signifying to consumers, retailers, and regulatory bodies that NSF-certified products meet or exceed requisite standards. NSF’s world-renowned team of auditors, engineers, microbiologists, toxicologists, chemists, and public health experts provides services in 110 countries across all major industries. Additionally, NSF is a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre on Food Safety, Water Quality and Medical Device Safety.

The new test equipment being supplied by Georg UK will assist NSF in maintaining their world-leading standards whilst bringing new levels of automation to their test laboratory located near Newport in Wales.

The design of the equipment began in January, and the test rig suite will be built and rigorously tested in-house at Georg UK’s Wolverhampton facilities to simulate the exact installation conditions on-site before delivery and final commissioning at NSF Wales.
